NATIONAL WEEK OF PRAYER (NWoP) NEWSLETTER
Dear Leaders, Churches and Partners in Prayer,
We want to take this opportunity to honour and thank the Lord for the great momentum He has built behind the National Week of Prayer across our nation. In 2024, when we began, the soil felt dry; but we managed 120 gatherings across the British Isles, last year that momentum continued and we had over 240.
Three years in we see the fire spreading as more and more incense arises throughout the year from saints who faithfully continue to pray, and saints stirred afresh to hold up nationwide prayer from, and for our beloved British Isles.
The Lord is showing us that when we come together in oneness, there is rich blessing…it’s like the living altar of incense kept in the Ark of the Covenant which was the physical space that hosted the Lord’s presence (Exodus 30:1-10); made of acacia wood and overlaid with gold, the altar of incense symbolised purity and sanctity. Every morning, the priests would burn incense on this altar, representing the prayers of the people ascending to God, rising together in harmony towards heaven. Paul reminds us in 2 Cor 6:16, that we are the temple of the living God.
Our amazing crew of volunteers have been working hard to build new systems, including 1) A new updated NWoP Website; 2) A new portal to register your prayer gathering - so you can more easily manage your event details; 3) A brand new podcast prayer resource from distinguished leaders across the ten spheres of influence; our first released this month highlighting How we can pray for family.
Our prayer is that these gifts support our unity. Together, we can become a living temple that hosts God’s presence and invites His powerful blessing as we Gather, Remember, and Return this National Week of Prayer 2026.

The National Week of Prayer returns from Saturday 10th October to Sunday 18th October. Mark your calendar and register your gathering now! Don't worry if your plans aren't finalised yet. Registering early inspires others and maps the growing prayer movement across the land. Plus, our new gatherings app makes it easy to update your details as you go. Please pray about how your church, school, organisation, or network can host a prayer event this year.
Preparing now builds vital momentum across the British Isles. Together, we will unite in daily prayer across ten strategic spheres of influence: Family, Education, Healthcare, Religion, Government, Judiciary and Law, Business, Capital, Third Sector, Arts/Media/ Entertainment/Sports.

New Prayer Resource: Ten Spheres Podcast Series Launch — Episode 1 - Family
We are thrilled to share Episode 1, linked above of our new National Week of Prayer Ten Spheres podcast series, covering how to pray for family and our globally persecuted brothers and sisters. With nine more to follow, these episodes are interviews with industry experts and ministry leaders who are at the coalface of spiritual battles over their respective areas of influence.
We are grateful for those who took time to share these profound insights and those who will, to guide us into how we can be most effective in our prayers for the Nation at this time. Episode two is coming next month and will cover how to pray over Healthcare. The series is coming soon to Apple, Spotify and is currently available on Premier's YouTube channel. This podcast series is designed to encourage, equip, and inspire leaders and intercessors as we build our faith to turn the tide with our prayers during the National Week of Prayer 2026.

As the NWoP has grown, we have found our administration costs have increased. Although we are volunteer run, the costs of subscriptions to run comms platforms, website updates, producing content for prayer resources, correspondence, updating content annually, and back end support of managing gatherings around the nation, are ongoing.
